Please Write Another One Top Ten

One of my major pet peeves when it comes to reading is ‘one hit wonder’ authors. I get so frustrated when I finish a brilliant read and there’s nothing else I can devour by the author. I guess authors don’t want to disappoint with another helping sometimes or maybe they only have one or two books in them. Alas.

Here in no particular order are my favourite one hit wonder reads:

Before I Go to Sleep – S.J Watson

The Golem and the Djinni – Helene Wecker

The Help – Kathryn Stockett

The Language of Flowers – Vanessa Diffenbaugh

Let’s Pretend This Never Happened – Jenny Lawson

The Light Between Oceans – M. L Stedman

Memoirs of a Geisha – Arthur Golden

The Night Circus – Erin Morgenstern

The Tigers Wife – Tea Obreht

When God Was a Rabbit – Sarah Winham
