If you didn’t know, the 17th May is International Day Against Homophobia (or IDAHO). On this day in 1993 the World Health Organisation removed homosexuality from its mental illnesses register. IDAHO aims to raise awareness of homophobia and campaign against it. Due to a push on Equality and Diversity at work, I did a promotional display for IDAHO in the college library where I work , it turns out it’s a big deal where I work, we make a day of it with BBQ’s and DJ’s .
