My Top 10 Favourite Classic Reads

I’ve been reading classics ever since I fell in love with Jane Austen’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’ in my late teens. I’m into all types of classics; modern or cult it doesn’t matter, I’ll read it. So without further ado, and in alphabetical order, here’s my top ten.

A Christmas Carol – Charles Dickens

The Bell Jar – Sylvia Plath

Catcher In the Rye – J D Salinger

The Great Gatsby – F. Scott Fitzgerald

Howard’s End – E.M Forster

Jane Eyre – Charlotte Bronte

Mary Poppins – P. L Travers

Pride and Prejudice – Jane Austen

To Kill a Mockingbird – Harper Lee

Rebecca – Daphne Du Maurier

The Woman in Black – Susan Hill

  1. Grant Rollins says:

I was watching a special on Salinger the other night, and they said a few of his works that he’s been working on since his seclusion will be published from 2015 to 2020, which I think included a sequel about Holden…anyhow, it’s exciting.
